All over the world we see numerous plants, but what can they do to benefit us? Actually, plants help mankind in more ways than we realize. Plants help provide food for us directly or indirectly. Plants also help us by cleaning the air we breath. Plants are truly amazing ,filling most the earth, there are many kinds of plants.
Whenever you eat you get nutrients from a plant. When someone consumes meat they get nutrients from the plants that the animal ate. This also happens with carnivorous animals. When someone eats a salad or corn they are eating a plant and get the nutrients from the plant directly. When someone eats bread or cereal they still get the direct nutrients due to the wheat in the bread or cereal.
As well as providing food, plants clean our air. When we breathe we breathe out carbon dioxide; the plants take in carbon dioxide and filter it into fresh oxygen. Plants also clean benzene, formaldehyde and trichloroethylene which are other harmful air pollutants. Many house plants clean all these pollutants from the air we breathe. This is done in the process of photosynthesis.
In short plants really do many things for the world. They provide food in one way or another. Best of all they clean the air we breathe, they even can provide some supplies like paper or types of organic plastic. Plants are really helpful, though few notice what they can do.
